Add to Calendar 2022-08-29 02:00:00 2022-08-29 02:00:00 AUDA-NEPAD CEO, Mrs Nardos Bekele-Thomas' Introductory Meeting with the African Diplomatic Corps in Sweden and neighbouring Nordic countries The CEO of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), Ms Nardos Bekele-Thomas will be hosting an introductory briefing and networking session with the African Group of Ambassadors stationed in Sweden and the neighbouring Nordic countries. The event will also be graced by representatives of Development Partner Institutions. The session will be a platform for the CEO to share AUDA-NEPAD’s vision for Africa’s transformation. The session will allow for discussions on strengthening and expanding the ongoing partnerships with the African Group of Ambassadors. Furthermore, this is yet another opportunity to discuss future initiatives, in the areas of Gender, Youth and Private Sector Engagement to advance the implementation of Agenda 2063 and AUDA-NEPAD Programmes that are being implemented. dijithadt@assyst.in Africa/Johannesburg public

Add to Calendar 2022-06-30 02:00:00 2022-06-30 02:00:00 Launch of Agenda 2063 First Ten Year Implementation Plan Evaluation and Preparation of the Second Ten Year Implementation Plan At the 31st Ordinary Session of the Assembly of African Union Heads of State and Government in Nouakchott, Mauritania, in July 2018, a decision was taken to transform the NEPAD Planning & Coordinating Agency into the first development agency of the African Union – African Union Development Agency-NEPAD, with a strengthened mandate to fast-track the realisation of Agenda 2063. The mandate of AUDA-NEPAD is to: a) Coordinate and Execute priority regional and continental projects to promote regional integration towards the accelerated realisation of Agenda 2063; and b) Strengthen capacity of African Union Member States and regional bodies, advance knowledge-based advisory support, undertake the full range of resource mobilisation and serve as the continent’s technical interface with all Africa’s development stakeholders and development partners. dijithadt@assyst.in Africa/Johannesburg public
