AUDA-NEPAD announces the Mayaki Legacy Forum in recognition of Dr Mayaki’s extensive contribution in shaping policy through his exceptional public service to Africa and impeccable leadership of Africa’s Development Agenda.
The Forum aims to foster knowledge to influence policy, through stimulating discussions and encouraging sharpness of mind through premier debates and lecture series. The Legacy Forum recognises knowledge is not irrevocable and should be shared and modernised to remain relevant through knowledge creation for forward thinking.
Human capital is the differentiator in today’s knowledge-based economy and the society is built on the foundation of extreme humility to support the generational knowledge gap, where knowledge developed over the years are not lost but retained and transferred for knowledge continuity to the next generation of leaders and identify lessons learnt for policymakers.
Watch the space for bi-annual events of the Mayaki Legacy Forum, commencing with:
• August 2022: A lecture on, “The currency of Knowledge: Linking past knowledge to future thinking”
• November 2022: A premier debate forum on, “Faith in the Future of Africa: Issues Unknown”
Details to be communicated through the AUDA-NEPAD media platforms.
